This is a banking Trojan that cyber criminals use to steal online banking credentials enabling them to make fraudulent transactions and purchases, or simply sell the details to third parties. ZLoader (also known as DELoader and Terdot) causes a chain infection, since, after installation, it installs additional malware called Zeus. In order for this document to install ZLoader, however, users must give it permission to enable content (macros commands). The purpose of this email is to trick recipients into opening a malicious Excel file, which infects computers with ZLoader. As mentioned, this email is disguised as an invoice from Orange, however, this company has nothing to do with the message.Ĭyber criminals often exploit names of well-known, legitimate companies to deceive people into believing that their emails are genuine. The entire email is in Polish, however, this does not necessarily indicate that cyber criminals responsible target only users who live in Poland/speak Polish.
